This is so close to the real thing I'm not sure I'd be able to tell it apart. Most gf pastas are grainy, and all of them have continued to absorb sauce/liquid to the point that they are mush. Makes for a difficult lunch experience. Well, NOT Barilla! It was not the least bit grainy, had a wonderful chew. Even better, the remaining pasta in the pot did NOT get soggy and disintegrate at all. Another awesome textural quality is that it kept the same texture when cold as when hot. If any of you have tried to make a pasta salad with gf pasta you know what I mean. I can't wait to try the elbows in a pasta salad!
After having the GF Penne, I knew I was not going to be disappointed with the GF Spaghetti and I was correct. It was DELICIOUS!
I've tried other GF pasta noodles and hated the way they cooked up, sticky and mushy. I did an internet search and saw a suggestion that corn pasta wouldn't be sticky. Unfortunately, I could not find corn pasta anywhere in the stores near me. But one day as I was passing through the pasta isle, my eye caught your Gluten Free packaging. I immediately stopped and grabbed a package of the spaghetti and penne. I was quite pleased when your GF pasta cooked up just like regular wheat pasta, and the taste was wonderful.
